Retouch, Refresh, and Resurface

WHAT IS IT?

The Lutronic LaseMD Ultra is a fractional resurfacing laser-- the most powerful thulium laser on the market, actually. It lightly resurfaces and rebuilds healthy, new skin without damaging the top layers, leading to a more youthful appearance.

Retouch: A spot treatment for acne or anti-aging
Refresh: A light resurfacing treatment for the face or comparable size
Resurface: A more intense resurfacing for the face or comparable size

This treatment is highly recommended for clients who want to target dullness, melasma, and/or fine lines/wrinkles.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

This treatment lightly resurfaces the skin through the creation of fractional injuries, encouraging a wound response in the skin so that collagen and elastin are stimulated. Treatments can be more mild or can be dialed up for a more intense treatment. Quick, with low pain and downtime, plus treatable on all skin types... This treatment should be a staple in your anti-aging professional treatment regimen. Don't forget, we should be challenging your skin in the Skin Rejuvenation treatment room, while you take care of it at home with the proper products and when you come in for your BR Hyper-Customized facials.

HOW CAN I PREPARE?

Before treatment please avoid: antibiotics, Retin A, Botox, sunless tanners (should be able to wipe with white washcloth and no color come off), harsh exfoliants, and acids (1-2 weeks); topical medications (5-7 days); natural sun and tanning beds (1 week), injectable fillers (4 weeks), Accutane (3-6 months).

After treatment: No scrubbing, rubbing, harsh topicals or acids, for 1 week (treat like a sunburn). No sun for 1-2 weeks. Keep in mind, as with any treatment for pigmentation, sun exposure without protection can cause the skin to pigment again. Get in for a facial 1-2 weeks post-treatment.

ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD KNOW?

Skin will feel rough as it heals. Expect swelling and redness which could last for a few days. It is highly recommended you get in for a hyper-customized facial 2-3 weeks post-treatment to professionally exfoliate and hydrate the skin during the healing process.
