MICRONEEDLING

WHAT IS IT?

TREATS: STRETCH MARKS, FINE LINES, WRINKLES, LARGE PORES, THINNING HAIR, & MORE

Offered with AAC in a variety of ways, and at different price points, microneedling is one of our most popular and effective treatments.

Collagen induction therapy (another name for microneedling), is a cosmetic procedure that involves repeatedly puncturing the skin with tiny, sterile needles. By creating microscopic wounds while keeping the skin intact, growth factors are produced which induce collagen producing cells. Skin texture, tone, and color are visibly improved when utilized for skin rejuvenation, and clients notice an immediate 'glow' to the skin.

When used on the scalp for hair restoration, thin (miniaturized) hair is stimulated to grow thicker due to the increased blood flow to the area, along with the introduction of growth factors.

with BIOLOGIQUE Recherche COCKTAIL D'ACTIFS SERUM

The creation of the micro-wounds during this treatment allows topical products to penetrate much deeper, enabling the hyaluronic acid, peptides and 47 minerals & vitamins in our BR serum to give you an enhanced, rejuvenated result.

We offer this treatment with an RN (can needle at depth of 2mm) or with our medical aestheticians (can needle at depth of 0.25mm, but also completes a full facial during the service)

with platelet rich plasma (PRP)... from your own blood!

Platelet Rich Plasma is derived from your own stem cells, growth factors and platelets which are then microneedled/re-injected back into your skin. This gives great results in skin rejuvenation, collagen production, revitalizing skin tissue, wrinkle & stretch mark reduction, and improvements in tone & texture.

We offer this treatment for either Skin Rejuvenation on the face or body, or for Hair Restoration for those noticing thinning.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

If you're doing Microneedling with Platelet Rich Plasma, a nurse will draw your blood and spin it in a centrifuge prior to the beginning of the needling procedure. The centrifuge will separate the platelet rich plasma from the platelet poor plasma. During this time, a numbing cream is applied to the area and will sit on the skin for 30-40 minutes.

PRP or the highly active BR Cocktail D'Actifs serum (made to mimic plasma) is micro-needled into the skin or scalp utilizing our Eclipse MicroPen EVO. PRP may also be injected into the skin as a natural option to filler. All PRP face treatments are followed up with a medical grade mask to aid in healing and hydration while minimizing inflammation and redness.

“Micropuncture” facials are provided by our medical aestheticians, and you can read more about that here.

HOW CAN I PREPARE?

Avoid botox or fillers 2-4 weeks prior to your appointment and 5-7 days post-treatment. Sun exposure should be avoided for 2 weeks prior. Exfoliating products including scrubs, acids, Lotion P50, and retin-A products should be discontinued for 3-7 days prior to treating.

ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD KNOW?

It is highly recommended you get in for a hyper-customized facial 2-3 weeks post-treatment to professionally exfoliate and hydrate the skin during the healing process.
